ICARDA Open Access Consultation Report

Consulting service for the development of the report “Open Access and Data Management Plan”, based on the CGIAR mandate.

The International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) is one of the fifteen (15) CGIAR research centers, working with countries in the world’s dry areas.
The Agroknow consulting service focuses on the development of the report “recommendations for Open Access and Data Management Policy”, based on the CGIAR mandate.
The scope of this report is to provide a set of guidelines for the implementation of the Open Access Policy, based on the Open Access Policy Mandate from the CGIAR Consortium  and all related documentation available through the dedicated section of the CGIAR website.  All the important elements of the CGIAR Open Access Data Management Implementation Guidelines have been considered, in terms of openness, information products, technical infrastructure (suitable infrastructure, interoperability, metadata, data storage and preservation, copyright and open licenses), administration of open access and data management (strategy and implementation, processes and workflows and staffing) and review, and assessment mechanisms.
